Cracked intake hose

My air intake hose has a 3 inch horizontal crack along one of the ribs. The part I am reffering to is the ribbed, Y-shaped hose.
This is a dealer part right? Well, I just called my local dealer and they want $61 for it. This sounds like a rip off to me. Does anyone have any alternatives to buying the new hose off the dealer, such as patches, etc?

I think I know what you're talking about: the accordion-looking thing. Mine cracked in my GS about a month after I bought it. I went to the dealer and paid like $40 USD. I don't know if you can get it anywhere else. Might want to ask around auto parts stores.

there isnt a whole lot of things you can do here, you could call around to local wrecking yards for a cheap one, or check the aftermarket, maybe even get a performance intake(it would cost more but you'd get something in return)

Has anyone ever used electrical tape to seal it temporarily? Would the tape melt and damage anything?
