Has anyone tried (for GS)
Eibach Pro kit + Tokico Struts?
Cheapest I could find Eibachs were 220.00
Cheapest I could find Tokicos were 166.33(fr pa)
I don't want to use my OEM struts and curious if anyone has a good combo. Also considering H&R too.

Flip Mazda. The ZX2 Tokico struts are a superior strut if compared to the Tokico blues that were designed for the mx-3. The Tokico blues and the KYB GR-2 are basically just a 'stock strut' replacement. If you're looking to lower you're car any more than 1"...they WILL blow eventually.
If you need any information on the ZX2 struts, email me at zytariuk@rogers.com...i'll be more than happy to help ya.
Oh ya! You can get Suspension Technique lowering springs over at corksport.com for $190.00usd. I've got these exact spring (They are perfect with the ZX2 struts).
[ May 22, 2003: Message edited by: zytariuk ]

Tokico blues are very close to stock but aut by no means lack performance. They are great for daily driving with little harshness but handle the turns like a true sports car. I lowered 1.6" but with my front end that's about as low as I could go while maintaining drivability.

I want to buy a set of Tokico with a set of Suspension Technique spring. Is this a good suspension set up? How low is the drop and would a set of 17'' rims fit perfect? Or will there be alot of rubbing on the inide wheel walls?

zx2 stock struts are tokico, and will work better in most cases than a tokico blue. Im running the zx2 struts and eibach springs, cost me 425$ all together , but i installed em myself, and im pretty damn pleased...

How did you get them for 425???
Secondly, what is the difference from ZX2 and Tokico blue? After reading that article on files about ZX2...why would I want to pay all that extra money/time to make them fit when the T-Blues (I assume) need no adjustment? I haven't heard anything bad about T-Blues by *someone who owns them* Just by people who have bought other brands.

all that extra money and time?? They're cheaper than the tokico blues to start with. Cost me $480 taxes included (canadianfunds) for the struts, thrust bearings, and dust boots for all 4. Find me some tokico blues for that price. As far as modifying the upper strut mount goes, it took all of about 15 minutes per side with a dremel tool. And from everything I've read, these struts are better than the tokico blues.

I own Tokico blues.......and I love them. They are stiffer than stock but still streetable so you are not sacrificing comfort. I like them much better than KYB's....that was harsh.
I lowered my car 1.6". And I slam my front end all the time. But that's because of my FX designs lip. I only have 3.5-4" clearance in the front so It's normal. If you have a bodykit that will affect how low you can go as well as the stiffness of your shock.
