Im' 100% sure they are under extreme presure with you're 2" drop, they WILL blow within months.

Did u have them on your car?
By the looks of it at the moment your car is still stock :p
So....How exactly are u 100% sure on that, plz share this cause i was actually thinking of buying dropzone coilovers :p

Because the oem struts were designed to work with springs with a rate under 150 lbs. The Coilovers run probably ~400. They will NEVER work right, and they will probably blow the seals very soon.

I have been using my stock struts with over a 3 inch drop for over 6 months now, and not a single problem. I cut about 3.5 inches off my stock springs, so i bet if measured now the spring rate would be probaly be as much as those coil overs.

Dude it handles GREAT. You are right about the bouncing, it is quite rough... its just a different sytle of driving that you have to get use to..but then again you will get that no matter what if you lower it more than three inches....you just have to go really slow over bumps...i dont mind it at all.

you can actually lower you car 0-4 inches with dropzone coilovers ,I personally do not like my tires deep inside the fender wells, that is why I only went with a 2 inch drop. as for the wiseguy who is talking about them blowing SHUT YO MOUTH ! don't knock it till you try it ! why don't we try to be more supportive to others than always trying to damper them with negativity ?
[ March 11, 2003: Message edited by: Gregory Christian ]

Hey Gregory, I've got the drop zone coil overs too. I have to say it rides great. I've got KYB struts to go with it. I've been riding with it for 6 months now. 2 months at maybe 2 inches or more drop and now back up to the top ride height until spring.
You won't notice anything now. But the stock strut will only handle the spring rate for a short amount of time more. That's all that Z man and Protoge are telling you. My choice of strut has not been the best either, so I'm not pushing you to get the KYB's. But if you look at the spring rates of the coilovers and that of which the stock strut can handle, you're overloading the strut, which in turn will blow the strut.
Hey man, it's your ride, but you also posted. So those in the know such as z man and protoge are going to try to help you out. They both are respected members of the board on this subject as they both have apparent publishings in the archives here. I think they know their stuff, and they, like I, am just trying to help you out.
Good luck with your ride and enjoy. :)
one
