strut perches

Im about to install my escort coilovers in the next few weeks. Im going with the zx2 struts but my only concern is my stock upper spring perch is to old to be modified to fit the zx2's. So where do I get new perches? or will hte zx2 struts comes with them? if not can I get zx2 spring perches and not have to modify them?...im going to go ahead and thank protege sts because I know he will be the first to respond

you mean the part that the spring sits on? Yeah...the ZX2 version will work fine, and it'll come with the struts when you buy them.

No! The upper spring perches do NOT come with the struts. You have to purchase them on their own, they are something like C$80.00 (EACH).

yeah, for all you guys who have done the zx2 swap. What was the condition of your upper perches? im just afraid im gonna pull it all apart and theyll be rusted to **** and very breakable..anyone?<p>-Ryan

ok thanks...just to let you all know somone has already installed some of the coilovers I bought. There are pics in the suspension forum here somewhere one the front page. Somone beat me too it I guess, anyways I dunno if he is using hte zx2 struts or not so I dunno if its exactly the same, but similar...im running in to major money problems wiht school, thats whya i havent had the cash to do it yet, and I need ot get a spring compressor from somone

dude go to autozone and u can rent it for free, u just have to leave a deposit. U wouldnt happen to have the guys name that already installed them???
