I recently went in to have my routine brake checkup. I was told by the mechanic that my cross drilled rotors could not be turned. All is within spec so Im not worried but why is it that they can not be turned? Do the holes really cause a major problem as far as turning??? Thanks for any info you can give.

this sounds odd. But try the BMW dealership. The M series come with X-drilled rotors. Their Shop may be able to turn them.
