Got Some 17's......What tires do you recommend?

I just got some 17x7 Konig Villains for my MX-3 GS/SE and I have never bought tires before. I got them off of eBay with no tires and I was wondering if you guys have any recommendations. If you guys have any opinions on what size/brand might work for me let me know. I am looking for something that is kinda a mix of cost and quality. About $125 per tire or less. if your looking for just a summer tire get a kumho 712 i have them and i am happy with there grip

well since ur in an mx3, your not going to be goin that fast so just buy some cheap 205/40/17 tires or 215 [img]shrug.gif"%20border="0[/img]

yokahama paradas spec2 are very good tires... they work great for me.....17 inch konig rated r's and havent had a prob with those tires yet.

Hey Natural Born Honda Killer! I did some more research and those are the exact tires I think I want to get. I have 17x7's though and I can't decide whether to go with <LI>205/40/17's or <LI>205/45/17 or <LI>215/40/17<P>Anyway, everyone check out <A HREF="http://www.yokohamatire.com/04b2l.html" TARGET=_blank>THIS</A> link and click on the size chart and let me know what you think.

Dont laugh but I have found a really good tire thats not really popular yet but they grip and go for a low price. There federal 205/40/17 V rated tires. They have one of the coolest tire designs, its curves all leading to the middle, hard to explain but sweet. I can dump at 5-7 thousand rpms and they peel out but you dont sit there they grab your car and go while there spinning. THey dont spin long though. Today I geared to second hard in the rain and they didnt just sit and spin in second they actually grabbed. I cant say enough good things about these federal tires. O and there 100 a tire, not bad at all. Id say they can compete with toyo proxy's.

i have 205 40 17 and i can tell you it fits the fender well and the car very well. its definately the perfect size for the mx-3 if you want the whole fender well packed full of tire and rims. i get comments on mine all the time are those 18's??? they are 17's and you can look at what they look like here...yes its my car <A HREF="http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/v ... zda%20MX-3" TARGET=_blank>http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/v ... %20MX-3</A>
