NAPA/UAP DRIVESHAFTS!!!! Use with Caution

I did just replaced my left driveshaft on my 94 GS 5spd. I bought it from NAPA and when I got it together it made a horrible sound. Kinda like a bearing noise only much louder and harsher. I took it out and compared it to the one I took out and it was about a 1/2" longer. After doing a little searching (Thanks for the 95 online manual!!) I compared the lengths from my 94 manual to that of the 95. It appears that the lengths changed from 635mm to 649mm from 94 to 95. I brought the driveshaft back to NAPA thinking that they just had the wrong part in the box but they tell me they only list 1 part number for that shaft from 92-96. I informed the guy behind the counter and showed him the manual pages and he juts shrugged "Not much I can do about it...the manufacturer is out east." . Well buyer beware...If you get a driveshaft from NAPA (or anywhere else for that matter) measure it and compare it to the manual specs. NAPA doesn't care if you work all day on the wrong driveshaft.
