Intrax Springs, is the 45mm drop a lie?

Post by wgale »

Hey guys,
I was going to get coil-overs and somewhat decided not to. But, I want at least a 40mm drop on every spring. Intrax claims to be a 45mm drop. But when I found a place that sells them, the guy told me that the drop is in fact not 45mm, but more like the 25mm drop that Eibach provides. He said it's a selling gimmick. Has anyone installed Intrax and found this to be true? Does anyone have any suggestions. I know Jamex is suppose to be about 45mm aswell, but no one seems to sell them. H&R seems appealing, but it doesn't bring the back down as far as I would like. I have to close up that gap, it's huge. Thanks!

lowering a MX-3 that much isnt the best idea. Not enough suspension travel.

DJ,
How much do you think that it actually lowered your car? Do you think that you actually got the 45mm, that Intrax claims?
If so, then I will probably get them. THANKS!
Do you have any other pics from different angles? If you don't want to post them here, then my email is wwmgale@hotmail.com
Thanks, this is totally making my life easier!

STS do u not realize, i do know quite abit about suspension and two have two nice trophys from solo 2 last year. i know u think your always right! but guess what your wrong!
I apex drop is kist a tad bit less then mine, and those springs arn;t as stiff! so if your thorey is true then all apex people are riding around on there bumpstops.

and Wes~! like i said had my car right beside a mx-3 with apex and factory wheels and mine just sat a little bit lower u could barley tell until u looked at it!

I'll wait until you prove your little point, but until then, BGs have suspension travel issues unless you have some custom shorter bodied struts that you havent mentioned yet.
I have suspension travel issues, and I can stil win in Solo 2. ;)), the car wont get dropped much, it'll run HIGH spring rates, and it will have plenty of suspension travel.

I did not. IT will CORNER on them. ;)
Just because you beat some ITR means nothing. Driver is 90% of autocross. Youre a better driver.
By the way, not all cops can drive. TRUST ME. I brought my father (police officer of 12 years) out to an autocross, and he's HORRIBLE.
