What are some good inexpensive tires?

Ok, here's the deal. I have some money, but not a lot. I'm looking to buy some new tires. Since I don't have a whole lot of $$ i plan on buying new tires, using the factory alloy wheels (15"), and later on when i get more money buy some nicer wheels. Can anyone recommend some good tires to buy to put on the factory alloys. Also, what's the biggest size tires that will fit on them. I just bought my MX-3 last week, and I want to work on the suspension a little bit.
-Josh "Wheels of Fire" Blair.

yup, Kumho 712s. You can fit 225s on the MX-3 GS's 15" wheels, but thats almost too much tire on the car. I would say 205-50 is your best bet, and they are pretty cheap, about 60 bucks a pop. For the street, there is nothing that can touch these for bang for the buck, along with longevity.

Id have to say Nitto 450's they are the best tires ever. Ive never used the kuhmo but a friend of mine doesnt like his, he wants to get rid of them and get some Pirellis.....I think. The Nittos are more expensive($110 for 17") but the extra cash is worth it in my opinion.

-Alex
