It may be a stupid idea, but i couldn't sleep last night...when that happens crazy ideas come to my head..well anyway, I am really interested in the thomas knight supercharger kit. It looks extremely easy to install, and a fair price as well. Of course, i have the 10:1 compression klze that "can't be boosted"..and I've already got a zex wet nitrous kit. I was thinking about plumbing in another nozzle to my intake system that would just inject extra fuel instead of nitrous. So, instead of having one nozzle injecting fuel and nitrous, i would have two nozzles injecting just fuel. Of course, this would be just like nitrous, activated at WOT when the switch is armed. I figure this would supply me the extra fuel I need under racing conditions. For just puttin' around town, the fmu that comes with the kit should be able to supply enough fuel to my klze to keep 'er from running lean. I don't want this to turn into a "thomas knight sucks" thread, I know what some of you think of him....I just want to know what you all think of my idea.

i dont fully understand this, do you mean you will have 2 injectors per cylinder+nitrous? or just 2 injectors?
if you mean what i think you do, more fuel doesnt always mean more power.

Bad idea. Gasoline is not a oxygen-bearing fuel, but nitromethane and nitropropane (two different forms of NOS) are oxygen bearing. Thus, you could stick nitrus in a gaseous oxygen void enviroment and it would still ignite perfectly. However gas would not ignite at all. If you change you nitrus injector to a gasoline injector the cylinder will recieve to much unignitable fuel (loss of power). I realize you will be supercharging, which will greatly increase the amount of air to the cylinder, but you will need to upgrade you existing fuel system anyhow, so why bother adding the complication? Keep the wet shot, and good luck with your super charger.

Hmmm... I understand where you're going with this but not quite. If you use additional injectors, or in this case, additional fuel nozzles, your fuel system doesnt have to be touched besides running lines. How is that complicated?


It would work and it is a good idea for more fuel.
If you use 2 small jets you will be fine. Of course you will have to tune them to how much boost you are running, but this is basically the same thing as running 2 additional injectors (cold starts) except for the fuel supply could be tuned better.
I would, however, use a boost switch to turn them on in case of part throttle boost situations.

Or better yet, I'd ditch the nitrous kit altogether, sell it then rig up an additional injector setup. Then you'd have more money in your pocket.
