What should the knocking signal be at on the safc? should it be at 0 all the time? It tells you nothing about what it is supposed to say in the manual and I cant find anything on the internet about it.

Well mine says stuff, what isnt the number supposed to go to.. Like basically what is the "redline" for the knock signal? What number does it have to go to before it starts damaging the engine? Mine sometimes is at like 9 when I am boogyin around.. I was on the highway yesterday and I accelerated really fast and the knock signal blink on 120, it was so fast I couldent even see it I had to go to the recall to see it. I think that I might need colder plugs.. The thing usually says 0 but when I get the engine really heated up it starts coming up with other numbers. Its gotta be the plugs.

Very good article on detonation (knock).

Can't help on the value for the safc, but I know from other turbo cars that knock is bad (piston and ring destroying type of bad).

Plugs might not help very much, cooling the mixture down before the chamber is the key (less boost, more efficient turbo, better intercooler, water injection).
