for those of you running the haltech...where did you put the coolant temp sensor, someone told me that you tap out the hole in the thermostat housing and put it there...but wouldn't you want it before the thermostat???

It's fine if you tap into the thermostat housing. Haltech reccomends that it should be before the thermo. The actuall temp reading of the cyl head would be next to the housing where a constant flow of coolant would pass. The thermostat housing would only see a limited amount of coolant flow before the thermostat opens and is up to operating temps.
For myself, it was just easier to tap into the housing rather then the cyl. head at the time. It has'nt given me any negative drivability problems as of yet.

ok cool, and one more question, i just installed my ACT clutch and put the tranny on, the release bearing is up against the pressure plate and is pushing the shift fork all the way to the one side. i can't more the fork at all, is this normal?? should there be some play in it or no??
there was a gap between the tranny and block and i had to use the block-to-tranny bolts to pull it together because the bearing was hitting the pressure plate... i hope this is normal...thanks for the help guys.

adjust your pedal free-play and pedal height.

sorry i meant the fork that releases the pressure plate...the motor is not in the car yet. the release fork is up against the side of the hole where it goes through...and it won't move at all because it is up against the pressure plate...i'm guessing this is not right...

Everything seems normal...
I would'nt worry about the fork NOT moving. When hydraulic pressure is going through the clutch line, it'll move.
