The mx is FINISHED!

Post by Franko »

Today was the day that people will be talking about for a long long time. The bpt swap has finally been completed. The car runs! IT IS ALIVE! I used the apexi safc on the stock computer and it works awesome. Boosting at about 10-11 psi.. it is INSANELY fast! I actually cant believe it. Anyone thinking about getting a bpt, let me tell you this.. it is worth maxing out your credit card for. :2thumbsup:

What do those BPTs run on 10-11psi?? I know what I want my KL03 turbo to run but I've never really seen specs for the BPTs. Just interested.

I dont have a boost controller and it goes to 10+ psi... I will post pictures soon.. I have a hell of alot so.. And about the bov, I feel like I am not going to be able to stop giggling.. I pulled alongside a rx8 last night and I gave her a little shot to make it blow off. Then when we got to the lights he backed up and was like "what size turbo your runnin man?" I was thinking this guy owns a brand new rx8 and he wants to know about my car!!! :D :2thumbsup:

well at the stock boost mine ran about 160hp and 165 tq at the wheels. so at 10-11 id say close to about 190-200 or so at the wheels.give a little bit here and there. i know on the gtr at 11-12 psi i ran 202 and 194 but your turbo since it is smaller will be almost instant boost and your dyno chart will look more like a supercharged dyno than a turbo. the boost is instant. when i had my gtx i couldnt stop smiling for like a month. oh and yes get a gs lip. im looking for a gs front bumper my self to hide my fmic a little better. anyways congrats and make sure everything is up to par before you start upgrading. if you have a little bit of extra money i know corksport has a set of camshafts for the bp that is for a turbo application. 425 isnt too bad. congrats and let people know what the mx-3 is about :p . i know in the 1/8th i ran a 9.5 seconds but could have been closer to a 9.0 flat. 9.5 was at stock boost.

Yeah, I need to get a gs lip thats for sure. It does hang down a little bit but nothing to get too upset about.. I would say that is almost a good complaint. :D

I love that little turbo man. I find it strange how people get these huge turbos that look like they came off a skyline or something and are only running 5 pounds of boost. I just cant make any sense of it. They would probally be at like 5000 rpm before it would start spooling, There is a dude I know with an integra and he is putting a turbo on it, the turbo is so big that you can almost fit your fist into it. How outrageous.. Bigger isnt always better. ;)
