Ok so I looked in the junkyard turbo post and was kindly given a turbocharged car which was listed in the post. So I now have an out of order old "jalopy" with the turbo I need. What do I need to transfer over from this car to my car and all that other good stuff. let me know someone please!
thanx
mike

well at least you got the hard part ovre with, you have a turbo, now the easy part, . all you need now is , a turbo exhaust manifold from a B6-T, custome exhaust piping, custome intake piping, standalone ECU, upgraded fuel system, high performance clutch, boost controler, and a custome intercooler.

But at least you have a turbo. :)

lol the turbo is the easy part the hard part is getting all the piping to fit and everything to work right.

I second that!

I still need the gauges.. :) Around 500$CAN again :(

But I do have everything.. and the piping!

Oh, and another thing hard to get.. money to spend on the project..

if your strapped for cash you dont need to intercool yet. just dont run too much boost yet. if you do decide to intercool then you should be able to run more boost safely with correct tuning of course.

I have to disagree with some of this. Not all that is needed.

The things you NEED:
Exhaust Manifold with a flange built to fit your turbo. (The manifold off the B6-T wont work because of the different turbo the B6-T and the Sunbird uses)
Piping. You need to run pipe from the manifold to the turbo, the exhaust side of the turbo to the muffler, and from the fresh air side of the turbo to the throttle body. If you have an I/C then things get a little more difficult.
Filter. Your stock filter will not work. You will need to buy a high flow filter and if you want a little extra oomph, you can put it in a colder area to get a cooler charge.
Fuel Pump. Your stock fuel pump will work for low boost settings, but you will want to upgrade it, just in case. A walbro 255lph pump can be had on Ebay for around $100 and will work fine.
FMU A Vortech 12:1 regulator will work fine.

Now, depending on the route you go from here, there are different things you will need to get. I would first get Maximum Boost by Corkey Bell, and read that. That should help you learn what is needed and what is not.
