how to bore my klze bigger?
hey guys i would love to add turbos to my klze, but i have read that it has higher compression ratio and i think i also read that using the 3.0L piston and rods from other engine like 300zx i could lower the compression ratio and keep my horses and then i could add turbos. any one knows more about it? i know it cost but i love this silly car so money will not bet the problem. I hope to conquer my project with ur guys help. thanks

There are copper headgaskets that you can get on probetalk that lower compression ratio. Why would you boost on the ZE if you just want to lower the compression ratio? Either boost about 5-6 psi on the 10:1 compression or get a domestic KL. Good luck.

i would leave the compression alone and upgrade the head gasket to copper. if u lower the compression u might as well went with the pgt engine instead of a ze. u can turbo the ze 10:1 compression fine, just make sure ur fuel is upgraded. the misconception is u can turbo either motor but an engine with higher compression will need more fine tuning and gives u less room to allow for error

hello, all of you guys are saying if your going to lower the compression why not get the klde/kl03 right? if i am thinking right the klez has better porting, better cams, better intake manifold right.? would'nt it be better to just lower the compression to turbo a klze, and basicly have a ported & camed klde/klo3 than just using a klde
that is why i am still debating what i am going to do. i am not sure if i just want to get a klze while i am here in japan and rebuild it with forged internals or just do the same with the klde i have in my mx-3 at home in the states(with the broke timing belt).just switching the heads and cams.

92' mx-3 gsr, built engine, forged internals, p/p ze heads. t3/t4e .63/.60 turbo, udp, msd ignition, millenia s injectors, millenia im, water cooled intercooler, afpr, fmu. running at 7 psi right now
