bypass valves????

ok theres a huge article on these in the new SCC mag that I found intresting. Only thing is im now pretty sure I know jack crap about BOV's. What are teh diffrent types, pluses and minuses etc? im goin turbo before the end of the year and i want to have everything picked out and bought pretty soon
