Wondering what kind of boost this engine can take. I don't really plan on using the engine but I thought it would be nice to know. I figured I could run like 4-6 psi of boost and be all right, but let me know guys...

hey DaveRous, on my SOHC 4cyl with a garett t3 super 60 turbocharger i am curently running 5psi, without any problems. The stock internals i believe are good for around 200hp, and when the turbo kit was first installed by boostedmx, he had the boost at 10psi. Once i get a boost controller i will be raising the boost, probably running around 7 to 8psi. But to answer your question about the limit on the engine, im not exactly sure, depends on your tuning and engine managment and fuel systems i suppose. hope this helped somewhat :)

Sure did. I was considering selling my MX for a CElica GT. I wanted something fast but still wanted my break on insurance. I also didn't want to pull an engine swap or something because it is my only car. I just need more speed for a reasonable price without ripping my car apart for more than a day... :(

Also, what is the stock tranny good for? About how much horsepower will the 5 spd manual take before you blow it (RS version). Thanks.
