Battosai very nice job. Have you tried fitting it yet and made the return pipe. With the way you have it set up it looks like its going to be real hard to fit the return pipes in there and make it line up with the rest of the exhaust.

So you're mounting your turbo where your oil filter is?

anyone that has ever fabricated a turbo kit knows that there is not set position. things will change and you will have to move things. you go with whatever is best for your budget and your time. i think its a very good start, nice welds, smooth bends,, hope it sticks to that..
[ March 09, 2003: Message edited by: boostedmx ]

Thank you very much for your appreciation, guys!
To all your questions I must say that I mount my turbo where my oil filter was, I already bolted it in it´s place, I plan to ceramic coat it and the downpipe has been fitted, but it has to be finished already. I have new pics of all my setup including details about the Intercooler and all related items. I´ll keep you updated!! :D

Another point about the downpipe:
Note in the rear cyl bank that I enlarged the tube by 3 cm, in order to make the Down Pipe fit between the headers and oil pan with a little clearance. I also did those bends on the front bank header because that way I gained room. The front cyl. header also is enlarged 3 cm so it keeps both flanges at the same level. Not quite easy to do!!
[ March 10, 2003: Message edited by: BATTOSAI ]

Image
Here´s my complete piping!
I have been runing the car, but no boost yet! I think I must check the wastegate and the exhaust flanges gaskets for leakings. I found that both front and rear bank´s gaskets leak a bit, so I need to make new copper gaskets for an improved sealing.
Today I have purchased a Kl engine, so I´ll start to dissemble it as soon as I´ll receive it, in order to reinforce the bottom end and to port and polish the heads. I´d also like to make a custom intake manifold as Mici did in Mx-6.com on his car, with additional injectors. More to come soon!!
[ July 02, 2003: Message edited by: BATTOSAI ]

I'm bringing this post back from the dead, hopefully no one gets too mad :)

Anyways Battosai is this still running? Where did you move you oil filter to if you put the turbo right there?
