that just sounds like a bad idea to me, you figure you could let out a few psi at a time which wouldnt really do anything, or 125 psi in a few seconds, too much air! ahh well

lol... that second link is a bilge pump for a boat. there was this hole warning thing on eBay awile back. would that be fun when those blades snap into your intake? yay.

Well, it's not a bilge pump, but it is for a boat. I believe they are primarily used as heat exhaust fans.<P>And in case there's any confusion, I didn't post it as a recommendation, I posted it as a warning.

This sounds kinda like how a real Turbo or supercharger works, however will this really make a difference? Sounds to me like it might but only for a few seconds kinda like NOS? What do you guys think?

I think "Turbo in a Can" is just a very expensive way to dry your hair... makes a very good hair dryer... 125psi will not only dry your hair but also rip it out of head!

the damn Turbo in a can is a freakin Air tank from walmart painted black. what they dont show you or tell u that its 125 psi, but 1 shot of it, steadily degrading as you use it. <P>The other is a PIS, its a boat fan used to blow out exhaust gases. I wouldn't trust something like that, it looks like it could be in one of those infomercials you see on TV at 2am.<P>I'd be afraid it would blow up my car or something.

125psi at 1cfm is pretty muchly worthless. And how are you going to control how much you "boost". Or how much additional fuel you'll need. <P>Dumb Idea #3298

No no, those boat fans are great, if you like hearing a really loud "thwack" under your hood when you rev the engine and a blade snaps. been there seen that And yeah, it was in some kids civic, go figure...

The ad says that it comes with a regulator. How long do you think it will take to empty that tank, at say 8psi? The air coming out will also be fairly cool, acting like the air has been through an intercooler. I am not sure if this is correct, but it seems reasonable. As reklez said.. It comes with a regulator. This means it should just let out a slow stream of air... Now if this is injected into the intake manifold at a constant say 8 psi. This would then act as if it was a turbo.. Now it might only last for a few minutes of this but even so it should work in theory right???

That tank is crazy! To get the kind of flow youd need at any pressure would suck that puppy dry in a microsecond. That tank device is pure and utter conman material.
