http://www.corksport.com/mx3/mx3index.html ....was this always here? And if so, whats it mean by IHI turbo? Does this mean I could take, oh say, a rebuilt Garret T3 and mate it to it, or will only this IHI thingy fit :) ? (newbie...go figure...lol ) Thanks!

the ihi turbo is what came on the 323 gtx/gtr(b6t and bpt) it is a brand of turbo. i doubt another turbo would fit w/o modifications. here's link if you want to know more.....
IHI turbo america
[ March 09, 2002: Message edited by: cre8v mx3 ]

It will only fit an IHI turbo. Each company uses different bolt patterns, gaskets, etc. You can upgrade to different turbos within the IHI line but not to a Garret or Turbonetics. If you are wanting that option, Larsen Motorsports makes a great manifold for around $430.
Larsen Motorsports

maldo you and crev are mistaken cause i am running a 323 manifold with a garrett t3/to4 turbo you it was just a housing change. that is all

Not exactly. You said that you have a T3/T04E with a different housing? Correct me if I am completely wrong here, but the housing is what bolts to the manifold. Therefore, you do not have a true T3 or T4 turbo, you are running a modified hybrid in order to bolt up with your manifold. Trust me on this, IHI turbos are basically the only ones to work with the manifold. To get any other turbo to bolt up you need to fabricate a new mounting plate. You can pull the guts out of a Vj20/21 and replace them with a Super 60 or T3/T4 hybrid but you can't buy a Garrett T3, T4 or any GT series turbo and expect it to bolt up. A T25 or T28 won't even cut it. This is the reason why there are custom manifolds in production from Larsen Motorsports, CRD, and Jackson Autosport.
