I've searched for a long time for a supercharger or turbo kit for my car and I still can't find anything.

any custom turbo shop will fabricate one for you. it'll just take a long time, and be very expensive. look into doing it yourself.

The reason it's not popular is because the 2.5l swap is cheaper the gives more power.

Not necessarily. The KLZE swap will be cheaper in the end but may or may not provide more power than a turboed 1.8l or 2.5l. A KLZE gives you around 176whp all the time. The other motors range from around 120-145whp, but slap a turbo on them and the gains are as much as you want. If you put a big enough turbo on and build the motor properly, 500whp could be attainable. Wouldn't be vary practical. A turbo will give you as much power as you want it to.

Actually, for the street, a K8 turbo would be more practical than a KL turbo. Less torque means less broken trannies and axles and an easier time getting traction. 1 bar on a K8 should get you ~250whp, which is going to be a very quick street car. Just drop in some KJS injectors which after 99 were rated @ 305cc/min IIRC.

I agree...The KLZE transplant is the best idea...It'll run flat 15's, but with simple mods you can run mid 14's. And that's all you really need in a street car. But nothing like a 13 sec run...Get some people dropping jaws<P>Jason

a biasic ze swap will put u faster then flat 15's!!! a kl-o03 swap will net u flat 15's u should be mid 14's with a true ze swapped in!

I pretty much have all of the welding skill and metal needed to make a turbo for the k08, but not the knowlege. If I were to be a pioneer, and fabricate my own custom turbocharger and setup, what would it take?
