OK...IM NEW IN THIS STUFF. IM ABOUT TO GET A 2.5L J-SPEC ENGINE SWAP AND PLANNING OF GETTING THE SUPERCHARGED WITH IT. QUESTION-<BR>I HAVENT DECIDE IF GETTING A SC OR A TURBO. IS ANYONE OUT THERE TO GIVE ME ANY IDEA, OR HELP I MAY, SAY IN THE TOPIC? WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THEM TOO? WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST?

One thing I suggest is that you learn about an item before you put it in your car. In fact, I forbid my g/f from putting anything in her car until she knows what it does, and how it does it. This makes it so you can work on the car yourself instead of paying $100's to shops to do things you could do yourself. I agree with Marlon as to the links he has given you. I learned alot from HowThingsWork.com. Just a thought

KL-03's are more boost freindly than kl-z3's due to the difference in compression. I agree with the other kid, please read and learn before you plan to do things. You don't just plug a turbo or supercharger into your engine, it's pretty complicated, especially if you have no experience

yeah, i've got plenty of time to learn before i get the money for a swap if that infact happens in the future. i think that twin turbo setups are usually used for say, on a V8 engine, it would have a turbo running off 4 cyl. and then the other 4 and turbo. obviously v8's produce enough exhaust to power 2 turbos because it's jsut like having 2 B6T's in it.<BR>having one turbo spool the other would be expensive! lots of timing issues to deal with, i'd think.

If I can compare my dad's MX-3 1.8L to his 300ZX TT, you might see a good idea.<P>albeit the Nissan 3.0L a split block design, it's an engine design low-med range torque. the extra power at high revs comes from the turbos when they kick in a the earliest 3300-3500rpms. This makes it painfully fast (3 tickets in 5 weeks), but works f---in great.<P>so, the other hand, our Mazda 1.8L is damn peppy out of 1st, through 2nd, slows a bit at third, and then revs freely through 4th and 5th. <BR>so thinking that,<BR>if would add a turbo that could come in at 3500rpms, it would cover the midrange lag and be a f---ing beast a hit speeds. and that engine can take it.<BR>that would be like the Nissan way, but you don't have to count on turbos for complete high end (therefore reducing the chances of over blowing them).<P>i'm not sober, but it makes sense to me.<BR>Chris.
