Can I? Can I?

Hey. I have a 92 GS and I am going to do the KL_ZE swap eventually... will I be able to find a turbo kit for this? The turbo kits I've seen are for 93+. Just wondering. Please set me straight. :D

1993+Turbo kits for what?? Is that for the k8 or klze??<P>For a turbo kit, all you really need is a custom exhaust manifold...everything else can be peices together. <P>But if you're gonna go turbo, i'd say go with the kl-03 because of it's more "turbo-freindly" compression level...and it's easier to find parts for if you break somethin<p>[ October 25, 2001: Message edited by: Bri94GS ]

Thanks Brian. The KL03 is the one from the 626, mx-6, and the probe, right? Should be pretty easy to find. All I know is my car can't be TOO FAST. hehehe :D

I understand that the ZE runs 200HP and the 03 runs 160. The boost the turbo would give the 03 would only put it at around 230 MAX with proper tuning. Am I mistaken? I bet if you put an intake, exhaust, and headers on the ZE, you'd get close to that. Plus with the turbo it would boost that alot higher even if you didn't reduce compression. If I'm wrong, I would DEFINATLY prefer the KL_03 cuz it's cheaper, and as Bri said, easier to get parts.
