a good order to do things is
1. mechanical
2. exterior
3. interior

start improving performance first then work on the other stuff

It's really personal preference....or matters of curcumstance. For me I was in a fender bender, so naturally I took this great opertunity to upgrade my exterior!! :2thumbsup: And some ppl would rather have a great looker b4 a fast mver. Again it's really personal preference...and most importantly....your budget!

first performance always, its fun too, when you got every penny into exterior and someone wants to go cause you look "fast and furious" its no fun losing, but when someone doesnt suspect it and think youre just cheap project, and you actually got performance under hood, its so much fun blowing them (at the track)

back to the question.

1)a home depot cold air intake system (or a conversion with a civic or integra kit from ebay)

Will add some power.
use the search feature on this board and you will find some write ups on how to do this.

2) change your spark plugs, ignition wires cap and rotor (NGK is good ) for basic maintaince.

3) polish your head lights, there are write ups on this as well. try the lighting forum.

4)search google for mx-3's and KL-ZE's and read what they have done to there cars, there are lots of ** to's on different pages, spend some time.

When i got my mx-3 i started right awaywith the first thing i knew, electronics (Stereo System). Than as i leared stuff about the car and what can be done, i moved to performance (KLZE swap), and this year ill be doing some exterior work, but man, the sleeper look is great fun!

right on...i hear the KLZE swap isnt so bad for a engine swap that is...

was it hard ?

i did 2) and 3) :)

throw somethin harder at me. im trying to steadily gain money for my "KL-ZE money pool" and still but some mods for the car while i do that.

i also have a friend whose dad owns a hot rod garage so i dont have problems with some serious work.

next i was looking at suspension...i almost bought a ZX2 struts and H&R lowering springs but i hesitated and thought i would ask if that was the best way to go first?
