Dyno-Day at EIP Tuning coming soon

Last year, my buddy held a dyno-day at EIP tuning in Westminster, MD. Only about 20 cars total came and dyno'ed and we ended up losing a crapload of money thanks to people not coming who said they were.
This year, we are going to advertise this on a lot of message boards (excluding honduh's, unless people bring their buddy's along with them) and will require a deposit of all people coming before we hold the meet.
IT costs $600 to rent the place for a half a day. We will have to call them and see how many runs they can do in that time frame to determine how much we are going to charge, and the number of people we need.
I'm guestimating we could get 30 cars done in that time frame, meaning we'd need a 20-22 dollar deposit (i forgot if there was a sales tax on that) via paypal, which will also cover the gay paypal fee's.
Anyways, I'm posting this so some of you can plan ahead for it. It WILL happen one way or another so look for a thread about it in the future.

Awesome, I've been waiting for a dyno day forever.
Can we get more details? Date, time, etc. As soon as I know it, I can probably get 3-4 people to come.
You said $600 for half a day? How many hours is that?

I don't understand what you mean. Explain?
Anyway, I would be in for this too. What do you do, rent it for the afternoon?

I would definately be interested. It would allow me to mark my official untuned HP before the Stage 4 twin turbo goes in there

and anything more than $50 is a fortune. lol.
[ August 19, 2003: Message edited by: MikeX-3 ]

Their regular prices are $35 for one pull, $50 for two and something like $150 for an hour? or something..not sure.
Last dyno day we ended up charging full prices to everyone because of the lack of turnout, and we still ended up losing like $200!
Last year, we rented it for the morning, not afternoon. I think it was like 10am to 3pm? or something like that. I don't really remember the exact times. But We will figure out something similar in terms of prices for 2-3 pulls.
But if you want to dyno your car, take it off to tune, and then re-pull, it'll probably be the same price the second time around ($20) since teh whole point of having 2 pulls is to save time setting the car up on the rollers, etc.
I'll figure it all out and post it when I get the details. I didn't organize it last year, but I'll be "co-organizing" it this year.

I dunno...i'll try to call them soon about it and try to work out a deal of some type.
If we can get it down to $25 a pull or so I think it will work. Dyno's are hard to come by around this area, so finding people to come probably won't be a problem.
