weird foggy spotson rear windshield?

this has been making me scratch my head 4 awhile, ive just never bothered to ask anyone. why do some cars back windows have weird light foggy-like spots on them(hard to explain). you cant wipe it off and it's obviously permenant. ive seen cars other than mx3's as well with this problem on the back windshield. anyone know? cuz i have it.

i dont have my windows tinted.
its hard to explain what it looks like other than foggy spots. i know other people have this, ive seen it..i just want to know what it is and what causes it?

yup, i've seen them too...i have 2 mx-3's and they both do the same thing. it only happens when it drops in temperature a little, other than that it's fine. maybe it's the shape and thickness of the glass?

lucky you, mine is always there. its not the end of the world i can still see out of the window..its the same in the summer as well. its only on the back windshield. i just am curious as to why.

rear defroster & heat stress over the years causes that wavy strange look.

my car has it & my buddies integra does too

don't feel bad guys, all 3 MX's I've had in the last 5 years have had this too - though till now I haven't bothered to note the weather... (I live in WV)
