how do i sew my back seats

hi everyone, i have a problem with my back seats being torn at the seams (like most of ya im sure) well i need to know if im able to sew them myself and what i can use to do so..im cheap and dont want to pay 4 someone to sew the 2 seams that are torn. can i use a heavy duty hook needle? what type of thread? i hope someone has sewn seats up by themselves. if so please help me!!! thanx so much!

I know how to sew but decided to get rid of my back seats though instead of sewing them. btw, the separated seams are a known prob w/MX-3 back seats. I'd imagine you'd use a long curved 1/2-circle type sewing needle...

You could see about removing the seat cover by cutting the hog rings. When that off of the frame and foam you would have a much easier time repair the seams or replacing sections of material. Then just put it back on and attach new hog rings.
