I'm thinking of finally picking up a pair of altezza's but i cant decide on the style. I have a black mx and i'm gonna throw on clear signals and markers. So wut would match the tails? Black/carbon fiber Altezzas would match the car...but clear ones would match the signals and markers...i'm leaning toward the black or carbon fiber ones but i'm wondering if anyone has any opinions?

IMVHO the chrome "altezzas" look like total crap on any mx3 or any car. They cheapen the look of the car exponentially since they are so played out by retarded civic owners.

IMO, chrome is on the out. I just picked up a set of the black altezzas, installed them last night. Looks really good with my green/teal MX, especially with the black garnish on the hatch(where the spoiler usually goes) and the tinted windows. Mainly, it depends on the color scheme you are going for. If you are going to put other chrome parts on the exterior, then go with the chrome. If the lights will be the only chrome piece, get the black or CF ones... oh, I've seen eclipses with CF tail lights (they come as an option, I think?), and I'm not a fan of it.

My 2 cents worth is the CF ones.

i know the black would look good at night cuz it would all blend together, its just the day i'm wondering about. Does anyone have a black car with black altezza's? I dont know if the blacks will match or will it really be too different...haha its confusing but your opinions will help.

black or nothing, the other ones look awful imo, the whole altezza thing has been done to death, would be nice to see some other designs...

Yeah, I was looking into altezza's also but the chrome ones scream RICE and the C/F ones only really look right on a black car. I was debating on color matching the chrome part to my car but I think that may turn out to be rice on a whole other level... which I don't want. So I'm sticking with stock.
But for you I would get the C/F ones because they go with black well. Not sure how they would look on my creek blue....

No one else has any taillight suggestions? I think I might still end up getting the chrome ones because they still kinda look better than stock and the C/F or black ones look even more out of place on creek blue. Unless someone can suggestion anything else, which would be appreciated.

Black on Black does seem a bit odd to me, but I have yet to see any Black MX-3s with clear Altezzas. Anyone?

they look ok but i want to paint the chrome with transluscent black and then lightly tint the lense that would look better i think

Took that this summer at the West Coast MX-3 meet.

Here's what I did...

I tinted my entire Altezza red.

It IS illegal because My backup light is no longer white-- so if you do this-- find a way to mask the backup light.
