I finally got my Ractive seats a yesterday and I tried to put them in last night. I got the inside slider of the driver seat drilled out and on the seat, then I test fitted it in the car to mark the spots to drill for outside slider, only to find out that universal sliders are way more narrow than Mazda's. I know about the sliders for 165, but I just got married two weeks ago and my wallet is hurtin'. Anyone have any solutions that are a little cheaper? Thanks.

Bolt the universal sliders to a stell plate cut the size of the stock mx-3 rails.

then bolt the steel plate to the stock MX-3 sliders

thats what I did

Doesn't that make the seat sit up higher? Also, what did you do about the height difference between the inside slider and the outside slider? Is the piece of steel just going to bend around to bolt up to the factory slider holes or what? If you could give me a step by step with a price estimate, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I did a comprehensive write-up about my racing seat install, which you can find by searching "racing seats" under the appearance forum.

I would estimate the cost of the spacers at about 12 dollars, the optional steel plate (which I did not use in my install) at about 25 dollars... and a few mountain dews
