I am still working on buying a mx-3 but i have a ? i love the interior of the 94-95 ... and one of the things i was pondering doing was actually finding a dash from a right hand drive country and having it shipped over... if i do this would it be hard to take and put a 94-95 dash into an earlier model? it seems like it would be relatively easy i've heard of someone considering it but never being done.. and i've heard of people making cars right hand drive.

.. still wondering about the dash.. will it bolt in? or require heavy modifications?

ya its bad in europe, but they get way better stuff then we get.

you just want to ship over the dash or the whole car ? its hard to import a car my friend has been working for like a year trying to bring over this older rx-7 from japan, its right hand drive he just got it about 2 weeks ago its sick !!!!
for right hand drive cars once they are over here all you need is a sticker on the rear of teh car that states " THIS CAR IS RIGHT HAND DRIVE " other then that once u get it here its all good

dude i been thinkin about buying a RHD mx3 from england and shipping it back (cuz i work for fedex and get a fatty discount).. since i'm gonna be goin there for a vacation in the summer. anywayz yea man that would be sick, but wouldnt it be cheaper to buy the CAR as opposed to converting the dash? i've heard that can cost thousands... lol but soundz tight. i'd love the uniqueness :D

as far as I know the Left Hand Drive MX-3 were the only ownes that got the rounded dash for 94-96, the Right hand drive cars from 91-98 all had the flat dashes with a center speaker.

I might be wrong though.

Also to switch from the flat dash 91-93 to the rounded dash 94-96 takes alot of work and you will need all the vent piping, the metal dash support, the HVAC controls, and the center dash control trim, and maybe the steeing column.

so if you wanted to conert to right hand drive you wold defently need all of that stuff. probabbly easer to buy a front cut from street imports or A-SPEC and swap over everything.

does anyone know for sure what dashes were available in the rhd countries? did any have the second mx3 dash? or were all the same as the first mx3 dash

id just buy a rhd mx3. steering you would have to reverse every thingyou would probably need a whole new suspension for clearence( idler arm, pitman arm etc...)

why would i need to reverse everything? the stick shift would remain exactly the same... stearing column and placement of the peddles would simply be shifted over but remain in the same order as in the lhd vehical.... and buying a rhd vehical would cost a lot considering i'd probably pay 4-8 grand for the car... another several grand to ship a grand at least in paperwork... then swapping out all the glass to american spec glass ... talking probably 10 grand easy just to get the car and make it legal for the states.... if i buy the one i'm looking at 1300 for the car say a grand to 2000 for the the entired dash shipped to me .... then do another grand to have it all swapped so 5000 total and add another grand for safety on the totall 6000 so about 4 grand less than shipping one over if i'm wrong someone give me some more concrete numbers on buying a rhd vehical
