i will keep the product a secret. its not that night shades tint stuff or tint film. i discovered a product that makes the headlights look like silky glass with only one coat (pics) and with a few more 4 light coats, you can see how nice they turned out for my paint job. PM me and maybe i'll tell you where and how to get this product.
http://www.teammeguiars.com/driverprofiles/715/25003.jpg stock lighting lexan (notice the dirty plastic)
http://www.teammeguiars.com/driverprofiles/715/25004.jpg one coat of the product (notice the silky smooth glass look)
http://www.teammeguiars.com/driverprofiles/715/25005.jpg final with light
http://www.teammeguiars.com/driverprofiles/715/25006.jpg final with no light
http://www.teammeguiars.com/driverprofiles/715/25007.jpg tinted sidemarkers (taillights and turnsignals also)
NOTE: headlights are lighter than in pics. you should see them in the day. light gray and any color around the headlights will reflect into the housing.. they don't affect the lighting in any way either.

hmm nope. i tried to avoid using any type of film because i wasn't sure how it would contour to the headlight's shape.

IMPORTANT: make sure you get the one that contains no lead (as in the material on pencils) because if you get the one with lead, it will affect lighting. the product w/o lead will not affect your lighting.
clean off your headlights and then spray one light thin coat. if its not enough shine, put one more thin coat and let it dry in the sun. if you put 4 or more, it will start to get a bit darker. but the first two coats they looked perfect. (note if you can't get this product, let me know and i'll be happy to send you one)
[ September 11, 2003: Message edited by: marshmallow15 ]

and no i didn't mess up the tinting of my headlights.. i purposely made them dark so that it can contrast to my paint job a bit better.

So, what if your lenses are a little dirty on the inside? One of mine is like this... I think there's a small leak in the seal. Does this stuff still make it look clear like in the second picture?
Your lights look nice, btw. If it will make both of mine look like that, then I think I'll order some today. :)

dirty meaning condensation (water getting in headlights and making dewdrops from the inside of the lens) this is very bad for your headlight.. this can cause your headlight bulbs (stock or new) to burst. i would recommend drying your headlight in the sun and sealing the lens with some sort of silicone or sealer.
EDIT: oh and yes it'll still work, but you'll still see a few of the drops.. only clearer now ;) i recommend fixing the seal first so none of the material get into the headlight.
[ September 11, 2003: Message edited by: marshmallow15 ]

Oh, there's no water in there, but there is that film that seems to always coat the inside of these headlight assemblies after a few years.

Hey, just a question, but why do your pictures have "team Meguires" written on the bottom of them? and why are they linked from Meguires site?

because geocities is gay, onlineshowoff servers were down, and teammeguiars was the only online show site which i could depend on that would let me upload more than 20 pics.
