Hey, I know many of you have been in the past talking about purchasing a lamborghini door conversion kit, Ive been in talks with a company in the states that does them for many other cars. The kit sell for 1550-1890 USD, but there isnt one specifically for our cars. To make one for an MX they would need 250 orders.
In any case, they said the best fit would be the 92-95 Civic Kit with slight modification or none at all. Remember these are home kits, so no ripping of your body would be required.
If anyone is interested in purchasing one of these kits, let me know since I could get a deal if I purchase 3 or more. Dropping it down to 1400US each.
If not, I may or may not pursue this, but..let me know.

decah.net sells kits for that price. ive seen an article on installing em and most of the custom work is drilling the holes to mount the thing.. so wuldn't that be universal then?

yea true... but also 250 orders is a lot for something that expensive. maybe you can try asking if you can order a kit for a 92-95 civic and see if it fits well in the car, and if not if you can trade it in for another car.. or compare your door and fenders to other cars? it would be much simpler that way.

no no, 250 was to make a kit for mx3. I only need 2 other persons that want to buy the doors to get the 200USD off the Price at Decah, net.
I spoke with a shop dealer in canada, and they said it takes 200-300CND (150US) to install the civic kit onto an mx3 if you have power options on your doors. So it can be done.

wow. is it because they dont include the extension wires for the power locks and everything? because i know they include one to extend the wires so that the door will open properly.

this is just a question. I was thinking about doing this to my mx3, but am desiding to do the bpt swap instead. But with lambo doors on your mx3, how the hell do u park in a parking lot?

it is actually better, since the doors would open upwards. maybe you're thinking of gullwing or suicide style doors?

Here's something for you to think about.....
Even if you succesfully use these brackets the doors wont stay up on their own. They're way too heavy. You'll need a strut of some sort and it will need to be bolted onto the bottom frame of the car.
I just saw a Civic actually this weekend with these doors. He showed me everything. He never did it himself, but even so it was pretty amazing and extraordinary work.
He payed $10,000 for someone to do it for him. Just an FYI.
~A

the decah kit comes with 300lb. small struts to bolt to the bracket and door. and wow, 10,000? thats wayyy to much even for custom work. i thought 1,000 was expensive enough for custom lambo doors.

If you install it yourself then it's a steal, otherwise you're going to get raped.
~A
