Has anyone seen the red or red/black kevlar weaved carbon fiber hood? Does the red color match the blaze red paint on the car?

hey...great to see another Northern VA'er on here. Not sure whether the kevlar matches or not but if you buy an mx-3 carbon fiber hood on ebay you can upgrade to the colors below for an extra $100.

If you get in on the group buy you can also get the CF/Kevlar weave in colors for an extra $100. I don't think it matters so much if the red matches exactly, provided you get the black/red weave. I think the all red would only look good if it's a close match (and I have no idea if it is.)

I don't think the all red matches our red; the guy on e-bay sent me some pictures the red hood kevlar but because of the angle and glare I can't really tell what kind of red it is.<p>

Those pics appear to be the red and black weave, not the all red. Not very good pics. Check out the orange/black hood on this orange Protege, as well as theor other pics. I think the red/black weave would look really good on a red MX-3. Of course, my car is "Tropical Emerald Metallic", so I have no clue if any colors would look good.

Hey I'm front Northern Va also. I live in King George County. We should get a meet together sometime this spring or summer.

A meet would be good. I'm gettin my body fixed up and I might get a hood. Then my car will look good.

yeah...a meet would be great...like the one a couple of months ago where we went from maryland to lake fairfax and ended up at Tysons. I'm getting my car repainted in the next week or 2 so it would give me a chance to show it off.
