Ok, i got pulled over for having white rear turn signals and rear side markers..so i went to auto zone to find some red ones...well, they dont have them. The person told me just to color mine with a red sharpie...so i decided what the heck if it looks tacky i can always just buy amber bulbs, but i did it and it looks awesome. Looks like the bulbs came red from the factory..so since i have the altezzas off i might as well fix the wiring that the dumb A$$ had before me..he had managed to disconnect two of the brake lights...so i just hook the wires up in the parking lot of wal-mart so i have no test lights or anything...the lights work fine its just that in one of the lights, when i have my head lights on two of the filaments light up...and on all the other lights only one does. It looks really funny having one really bright light and the rest not so bright...soo my request...can someone go check out how many filaments are suppose to light up when the headlights are on?? Also, how many light up when the brakes are applied?? I am going to look through my manual but i am hoping that someone can just help me out real quick like...thanks..

as far as i know only 1 filament is supposed to be on... one is a high beam filament and one is low beam

I was unaware tail lights had a high and low beam. It turns out the light must have been in the sun or something during the day because i just checked it out right now(night time), and the lights that are closest to the turn signals have 2 filaments that light up, and the two inside ones only have one. I'm not sure if this is how its suppose to be but it looks pretty cool so im going to leave it.

parking light filament and brake light filament, would be my guess...they do have 3 contacts and all.

yes when hit the brake pedal the second filament lights up, plus the MX-3 never had a red turn signal.

you can put a red 194 bulb in the side markers though, Autozone does sell them.
