Carbon fiber info needed

Post by MysteryMachine »

Hey guys, I was just wondering if any of you out there know of a good carbon fiber adhesive that I could cut and apply to the outside of my car. I need something that looks good and won't rip, tare, ware, or deteriate in the weather. Thanks alot.

If it is carbon fiber look vinyl you are looking for, Foliatec (http://www.foliatec.de) would be the only name I would trust for exterior application. But just don't cover you hood with it, junctions between sheets looks bad!

Ya i'd like to get ahold of some real carbon fiber too. And if anyone has a good web site that explains the applying process that would be awsome as well. I want to carbon fiber cover my dash or just some interior peices.

thanks guys. Nah, no way I'd try to cover my hood with carbon fiber sheets. I already have a cf hood neways. I just wanted something which would hold up on the exterior of the car. Could you really trust the carbon fiber sheets that they sell on ebay? granted they do say real carbon fiber on the auction itself, but how can u be sure?

How hard is it working with carbon fiber and resin, compared to fiberglass resin?
