Heres some brand new pics of my polished intake manifold took about 5-6 hours not to bad. Its not a perfect job but its good enough for me, I think its definitely worth the time and energy.Pic of Intake manifold before any work done.

WOW... did you polish it by hand or did you just spraypaint it? looks awesome.the same stuff i used to paint my wheels, i painted my valve cover with. gunmetal ice pearl valve cover. i'll post pics soon hopefully.

That looks the t*ts. What grade sandpaper did you use and how did you polish it, I want to do my rocker covers.

But could you plz give me and others a how-to of taking the manifold out, i want to hear the easiness rating from someone who has actually taken it out,,,
very nice job on the valve cover too,,will appreciate your response on the how-to,,,

Ok heres a how-to on taking off the Intake manifold. For your first time Id say about hour and a half to take it off. But its actually really easy. The main thing holding it on is just 8 bolts that are in the middle and 4 nuts which are on the ends of the IM. There easily spotted by just looking in the engine from a top view. The "legs" as I call them on the IM is the only place where the IM is actually bolted onto the block. Other than the bolts and nuts I talked about previously you have to do a few more things and this is where it can get frustrating. Take off the throttle body first of all because you have to get to some electrical connections and small pipes that are connected kinda below and behind it. Im talking about a small bundle of connections wehre theres about 3 electrical connections and 4-5 hoses disconnect all of those. Now theres a pipe that goes from your front valve cover then connects onto a hose and then goes back onto a metal pipe that goes under the throttle body and back around in the front of the other valve cover in the back. Theres a bracket on this pipe thats right under the throttle body that you need to unbolt. And then theres 2 more bolts thats holding this pipe up around the back thats also connected to the throttle body in 2 places which are by 2 small black solenoid type things (you'll be able to tell what Im talking about). Lastly theres 2 lines going into the fuel rail which is located right under the "legs" of the intake manifold. I just popped off the hoses and the top hose spewed some fuel out, but I just plugged it quickly. Once you get all that off it should come right off, if it doesnt then Im just missing a small thing or two that you'll probably spot no problem. Im sorry if I didnt explain it well but once you start the project and unbolt the main bolts in front and start to lift it up you can tell where it still is connected. Overall Id give the taking off part of the manifold a 7 out of 10. If you know quite a bit then its not to bad at all. And yes I did do all the polishing with my friend and I, it was mostly done by hand, we did have a small belt sander thingy that got some main parts but it couldnt get into small areas. Sorry missed your other questions, Yes I sanded it then polished it with mothers mag/metal polish from walmart. Started with 80 grit then went to 220 then 600 then 800 then 1000. 1000 is like buffing it but I really think it is necessary. Hope that answers everything

And i am guessing i just need a torquewrench to put it back on eh,, I will take a look @ the OSM (online shop manual, lets use this short form as of now,) to see torque specs,,

I didnt use torque wrench I Just kinda felt it and tightened them pretty tight because they were pretty insane to get off. But torqing is probably better.
