Make your own lights?

Ive heard form some people on cardomain that you can simply get some vinyl and cut out holes and stick it onto lights, or just spray paint leaving like 3 lil holes. Im not sure if this is rite. I think it should look someting like this... im not sure if i should try it.

many people do it with clear headlight covers, that way they aren't painting their headlights, and down the road when their taste changes it is removable.

Most people do that to their taillights, to make them look like Supra taillights.<p>I wouldn't recommend doing it to your headlights, as it is basically blocking off your headlights, reducing the amount of light when driving. It's not like the lights are being reflected/projected through those holes.

...IMHO it looks kinda gay on the front lights. Looks decent on the tail-lights though :D .

i like it, i have a red mx3 im gonna see how it looks and ill post picks and pending the outcome ill decide wether to keep them on or off.
