question regarding CF hood with inverted scoop

hey everyone...Im going in on this CF hood group buy, and there is the option to get an inverted scoop, my concern is the water that will drain through the scoop...after emailing with cjthor (jarid), the water will possibly drain onto either the exhaust manifold, or the cooling fans possibly...so, question is, will this affect or damage my engine, and for the people going in on this group buy, are u sticking with oem style or if going with the scoop, are u just not worried about the water issue?...thanks in advance, sorry about the long post

but if it drips onto your exhaust manifold or your header, it can start cracking because of the high heat. i was thinkin of the same thing when doing my fb hood...maybe just put some type of shield over your exhaust manifold or fans that reroutes the water away with weather stripping or something.

I hear ya! I am also having an issue with the inverted scoop. I am prolly going to get one of each hoods. I am going to make a small boot for the scoop to divert water away from my engine components. We are up to four deposits now and alot on the way!!

So was there ever a definitive answer to the question of if the inverted hood will fit over the KL-ZE?
