my fallen mx-3, my fallen titan.....

Post by ltjrunner »

those who know me on these boards, i had slowly started to accumilate things for a bp-turbo swap and had much help from many on these boards, i thank each and everyone of you, but things, are gone....

i was involved in a car accident with a blazer. i was driving down, went to turn the radio down, looked at it, looked up and got my headlights reflections off a car. i jumped on the brakes, and the roads being alittle slick, i slide into him.

he was either stopped or going really slow i dont know. he was drinking, and one of the cops said it was all going to be on him, but i still dont know for sure.

all i can say is im at a complete shock right now and the fact that my baby wont be with me hasnt hit me. im ok, and the other kid had minor injuries i believe. thats the good news outta this. no one was seriously injured. where i go from here i dont know...i can say i really would like to find another mx-3, and continue the build, but we'll see whats available when i am able to buy a new car.

as i see many people do when they loose their mx, i wont be leaving these boards simply because, of all the boards i am on, the is one of the best, and has brought me way too much knowledge, hopefully i stay in the mx-3 family, but even if i dont good luck to any whom build theirs, and if i see you ill just drop and give ur car a big ol hug!! thanx to any and everyone that has helped me again, bigges go out to barry, maldo, marlon, and mr ashler fowler...thanx guys, keep up the good work.
i got a 90 pgt...but wish it was a mx-3 bp-t!

thanx barry. its really frightning looking at it. i just stare at it and wonder.

i get to talk to insurance tomorrow. they took my car to some dealership, i dont know why though, i mean, i dont have a black box in the car like the new ones, no air bags and they said it was totalled. wonder if a crash analysis is comming from this. ill keep ya informed as to what happens and hope for the best.

Hey man it's great to see you are okay, thats a shocking bunch of crash photos.

Are you gonna get the car back - cuz im sure you could make some dough on the side for your new MX by parting it out, you know how people are on this board.

Good luck finding a new MX - I hope the perfect one finds you

well, to let you know heres whats all dmaged, from site, after a good pouding the hood back some more to see the engine.

obvious is the cracked valve cover + radiator.
power steering gone
tranny is shifted, the car is locked, i bent the shifter to get the radio out
camshaft is screwed along with gear
fuel rail + lines demolished
intake mani, bent
exhaust mani, bent
interior, all but the seats are pretty much f'd the back seat came up to my seat in front from the weight of my amp.

so i think the onlything i could part out would be two door panels and a maf! oh oh and the spare tire! so i said ill take the 2400, no use into loosing money into purchasing it to part.

another side note. the mx-3 around here are either one, too high priced or two, too crappy. the 88 rx7 is sold :( and now im looking into the lost vw, the corrado. i think i like getting a car not common! im still searching for another mx-3, cuz thats truly what i want. dont care how slow it is i just like em and i know, with money, ill make her go! thnx for all the support and encouragement.
