Interior Painting, much help needed

Hey everyone, this is my first post in a long while. I had a 92 MX-3 that was taken from me in a pretty horrible wreck and i never got around to painting the interior. I just recently bought a 94 and i couldn't be happier, but rather than waste time thinking about it i'm just gonna do it now on this car. <P>So anyway, that said i need just a few questions answered or at least to be pointed in the right direction...<P>1. I don't want to buy new seats so can i just paint over them or something to color them? (probably a stupid question... you'll get a lot of those from me)<P>2. How do i detach the dashboard and everything else on the interior so i can paint it?<P>Anyone that can help i would so greatly appreciate it. The only problem is that i'm sort of short on money so i'm lookin to do this as least expensive as i can. Thanks a lot everyone, or anyone.

I had lots of thoughts on my seats.. And people who have tried painting them with whatever say that it comes out crispy, rubs off or fades. Heres a nice solution... <A HREF="http://www.wetokole.com/" TARGET=_blank>Wet Okole seat covers</A> These seat covers look very nice and stylish. <P>The dashboard is gonna be a screw search. I would not wanna rush into this project. Heres a picture of what it will look like after your dash is off. <A HREF="http://members.tripod.com/mx3gsr/Interior.html" TARGET=_blank>rob's interior project</A> . I hope you have alot of time and patience. I e-mailed Rob bout dash painting he told me he had his car off the road for about 2 months when he did this. hey dude,<BR>Off topic but where in raritan are ya?<BR>As barry said look at the online shop manual to remove parts. btw the gauge cover panel is 5 screws not the obvious 3 that you can see - most peopple ask about that.

Their "prices" section is a pain in the a-- though, the way it scrolls on it's own. I just copied and pasted the text to read it at my own pace. <P>Does anyone have the neoprene covers from this place? Which ones, the universal or the custom? Anyobdy have them in the rear as well? They don't have any pictures for the MX-3, so I can't tell how well they fit.<P>Thanks
