Hey everyone. My name is Scott. I'm new to this board. I am only 16 so I am hoping to buy an MX-3 very soon. Because I am only 16 I will have limited money to spend on my car (with the help of my parents). I am looking for suggestions on what mods to perform first. I am not very worried about "go", mostly just "show". I was wondering what you guys think I should do first when I get my car. I am just looking for suggestions and ideas. I am either going to buy a blue one or a black one. What colour do you think? If I buy a blue one then I would like white or chrome rims, if I buy a black one I would like chrome rims. I am also hoping to put an aluminum spoiler on it. Any other suggestions? Thanks a lot!

If you get an aluminum spoiler make sure it isn't taller than the car itself. Chrome with black looks very nice, have you considered possibly a body kit?

Hey, thanks for the input. Yeah I've considered a body kit but with being 16, I doubt I will have enough money to buy one. I really want to get the FX Designs one but they cost too much and then I have to have it installed and painted. [img]shrug.gif"%20border="0[/img]

Do some interior work yourself first, and little things like that. I was in the same situation, I'm only 18, but when I got my MX3 I had little money. So I did custom interior painting, sound system, wired neon, etc. Just little things that when they add up, they look tight.

before u do ANYTHING get some lowering springs, so many people neglect to lower there mx-3s till later on! they need to be lowered make that your first mod

Don't listen to Dj_Pawz_GS bud. A lowered mx-3 with stock rubber/rims looks stupid.

yeah but an mx-3 with 17" rims and an extra 8" in the wheel well looks dummer

I hear ya Codene. I make about $160 a week, which isnt much when you got bills to pay. I'm gonna use my tax return for a kit though. Hoping to have a wing by Sept and I gotta finish my seat covers, which I'm working on now =)

I thought I was the only one. I'm 17, and I'm going to be paying for an mx-3, insurance and tuition in the next month or two. Plus whatever I spend on mods. And I work in a damn bakery.
