In a spat of retardedness I ripped out my door panels and started pulling the fabric off. If you are thinking of attempting this mod. Don't!! Deal with the fact that our car has ugly puke purple rainbow color scheme. I finished the door panels and about 3 days of gluing and cutting I am done. Messed up a couple spots but overall ok. Used teal vinyl and about 1/2 gallon of contact glue. I am goona give them the full seven days to set. Basically if you want to try this see if you can get some spare panels from a recycler and spend a lot of time and glue on them. Oh and to fill in the crack between the fabric and door use a .120 screen door speen. Hope it all holds. We'll see

actually, i'm doing the door panels myself as well. it just requires skill and time. i acquired the skill by doing my interior panels and seats first. i practiced sowing, cutting, etc. then i glued white vinyl with a mesh neoprene cover over it and it's going along well. the only problem that usually comes up is the air bubbles in the panels...but that can be easily fixed by heating and stretching the vinyl. i used a blow dryer for hair and a steamer vacuum and it looks perfect. iono why other people have problems with that mod. maybe it was their first time or something....wait it was my first time too =D
