i'm ready to paint my interior with all the needed materials...the only problem is the cloth. some of my panels are a cloth and was wondering if i can spray paint the cloth with a interior paint to match my interior...can i do the same thing to seats as well? i'm going to have a black/grey interior and i want to spray paint the seats to match my interior too because i can't afford racing seats yet. any help here?

fibre glass all the cloth and paint it that way! or u can do what i saw on a web site awhile ago, just pull the cloth sh*t off, BUT be VERY careful! when its off u have to use some sort of cement or glue and paint that on, when it dries, sand it down and makes a hard smooth panitable surface! im not sure what the web site was , but who ever's it is, u can put the link here and show. sorry i don't remember.....hope i could help! I've been trying to figure out a solution to this also. I don't want to get racing seats i like the ones in there. But I do want another color. I bought some spray on dye to test it on some scraps. It holds up alright, but not real well. I put it through the dryer and it was fine, but afterwards it would rub off just a little leaving behind a lighter color than what it was supposed to be.

so should i just use a fabric spraypaint and just paint it again to color or dye it when it fades? i think that cement thing would be too complicated.

If you have a 4cy 1.6L, then you have a RS...GS is a 6cy @1.8L

i'm thinking of just replacing the factory door panel cloth and rear panel cloths with a light grey suede which will match my black/grey/white interior scheme nicely. they sell it for $8 by the yard at yardage town.
i'm planning to replace the door and rear panel cloths, then remove the fold-down mirror from the headliner and put suede sheets over the entire headliner (covering up the holes from the fold-down mirrors)...so it'll look like i "shaved" my fold-down mirrors for a more sleeker look.
i also want to put in some suede seats. i'm planning to get some lexus is motorized suede bucket seats from ebay.
what do you guys think?
