You read it.. I am unemployed, and bored.. meaning, basically, I am looking to do stuff with my car for cheap, or nothing... any ideas?<BR>I don't want the one wiper mod.. but I have positioned the wipers so they are as low as they can go (closer to the bonnet)..<BR>umm.. I was thinking maybe doing a few things under the hood.. cleaning up under there..<BR>What else, hmm.. I was thinking also about giving the under carriage a general cleanup.. grind the exhaust welds so they are a bit cleaner and smoother, and maybe spray paint the exhaust (in heat resistant paint of course).. and possibly also spray the general area around with matt black paint... what do you all think?<BR>anything I can do to the interior for cheap?<BR>I was thinking maybe decking out the boot somehow... my dad owns a carpet shop so I could probably get some stuff from there..<BR>I was also thinking, maybe, just maybe, about putting a stainless steel plate behind the rear license plate.. too ricey do you think? I dunno.. I have some spare so I might do it and see how it looks...<P>Any other ideas? Things I can clean, or spray so they look cleaner? Anything at all... Maybe even some things that involve some simple wiring.. anyone done the Push Button starter yet?<P>I am open to any suggestions at all.. whether they be hard easy or whatever... I'll try anything once...<P>Thanks in advance peoples..<P>@ds<P>'93 V6 Eunos 30X<p>[ December 12, 2001: Message edited by: eunosads ]

don't bother painting the exhaust system, regardless of what type of paint you get it will just burn off in a matter of hours, especially near the cat. converter, and what ever doesn't burn off right away will just eventually flake and rust again witht he heat and elements of the weather. as far as push button starter, don't bother, it will only lead to more headaches in the long run, why fix it if it aint broke is the best phrase avaialble. I nce had an old tempo i used for a winter beater and had to install a push button starter after the egnition swith burned out, at the time i didn't have the proper tools for the sterring wheel lock, etc and i tell you you end up with wires corroding, falling off the terminals, a complete waste of time unless it is a needed job.

DVH - you said all you did was screw them in - don't you have to wire the side markers too? Otherwise how do they light up?

well yeah, but wiring is pretty simple, hardest part was cutting out the hole and drilling two holes for the screws. just splice into ur lights...pretty easy man. if u got the time to makes holes for them, u can wire them up too! :D
