not really, but you can easily fit 6 1/2 or 6 3/4 in the rear. For 6x9 you'll need to make a custom bracket. Good luck

For the rear it's easy. Just cut out the one cross piece that supports the existing speaker and a little bit of the edging. You need to angle the speaker downwards into the hole. Piece of cake.

Just put a proper 6.5 coaxial speaker in the rear and call it a daY,this will sound better than any 6x9 will ever and you dont have to hack your car up,there is noway you can properly install a 6x9 in the placement of the stock 6.5 without making a total mess cause there is not enough space underneath to make a good 6x9 fit properly.if you cut out the top you will not be able to mount the speaker flush because it is not a perfectly flat surface.
Killer MX3

Sorry man but the speakers in all four corners is a 3 bolt pattern 6.5. done many of these cars and am one of the major mx-3 show competitors in canada. If you want a perfect fit 6.5 for mx-3 check all alpine 6.5 with multiple pattern and it will just screw right in with a little play.
Killer Mx3
