Alternative to Altezza taillights.

Hey all,<BR> I am tired of trying to find clears or altezza style so I decided to paint mine all red. Image <BR> Image <BR> I used Testors Candy apple red paint. what kind of paint did u use? did u use any kind of stencil? wouldn't using vinyl have been easier? (asking because i'm interested)<P>heather

I like that...I would like to borrow that idea from you? Could you give any more info? Paint type, did you paint the whole light or just the side... man that looks better than the unsightly orange colour before.... <BR>cool idea though :)

Question... After painting them how well can you see the break light at night. Don't want to get pulled over :-). I like the idea. What kind of paint did you use???

I used Testors brand translucent candy apple red. Available at most hobby shops. You can still se PERFECTLY thru the paint since it is clear paint. i did the same thing but have been told that it wears.......after about 6months from weather etc.......so i used some plastic coat....clear coat<BR>jason

i only tapped off the orginal red and only painted the..amber and white...so it is still stock reflective looking

Mine is still stock reflective looking. Jeff, that was nasty. I think it makes more sense in Japanese.<P>Well, I'm off to the junkyard. And then it's time to whip out the Dremmel...<P>screw the DOT regs.

for those who doubt what i did to my ride, its not complete yet though, i got some pics i just got into my comp. who ever is interested in seeing these pics email me at my aol email address, and to those peoples who r interested in buying my rear bumper, front bumper, or the clear bumper lights let me know and ill send pics to you guys...like i said the pics are before and after i slapped the kit on
