Well, obviously I'm wondering how to remove the stock spoiler off my 1994 GS. If anyone can help it would be appreciated. Thanks
~Ryan~
[This message has been edited by VizualXTC (edited September 12, 2001).]

Is the answer to this topic anywhere else?
Just bought my mx-3 today and some previous owner got it from mx3 and spray painted it to match, well its peeling now...

Remove the plastic trim pieces from the inside of the hatch, directly beneath the spoiler. Unscrew the screws/nuts, then remove the spoiler. If it's the GS wrap-around spoiler, there's also plastic caps to remove from the ends of the spoiler itself, then remove the screws from under them.

Takes all of about 1.6 seconds in total.

Nice resurrection by the way. About an 8 year-old thread. Probably a record...

Here is the link to the online manual on the trim pieces and where the clips are.

thanks everyone
but if i can get some help with something else?
so i was taking the spoiler off, and realized that the spoiler is kinda a cover for the trunk too.
So is the spoiler stock? Like did the mx-3 have to come with a spoiler and do I have to have some sort of spoiler on there? If not, is there a cover for the missing trunk area if I remove the spoiler?

There is a thing called a hatch garnish that covers the hole. it came on the base base model. RS, 4 cyl... its a fairly common part.

Yeah there is a garnish that can cover where the stock spoiler is. I just sold mine or I'd sell it to you haha.

But check the junkyards. You are sure to find them they are common!

I have one I can sell you for cheap, problem is that 1 or 2 of the plastic tabs that hold the metal threaded part are broken, but I used RTV sealant to glue the metal parts on and it's held fine for a while.
