Ok my car is driving me completely nuts and i almost want to shoot it. Just about when ever its idling itll climb up to 1600 rpms then drop to 1100 or so and keep doing this non stop until i get going again. I had another mx3 before this same year v6 and everything the same and it would do that rarely but this one insists on doing it all the time annoying. Check the intake tubing for leaks.
(spray with WD40 or 5-56 around it.)
