cps short

antoher problem i ran into with my engine,(besides the sand in it) was the cps was to short. it didnt go all the way through the hole to the pulley. i used the same one that came off my de. is there a different one that is longer? is it perhaps a ze block? what do you all think? i need some help here, again.
