oil light flickering

ok this is kinda wierd when i'm ideling my oil light comes on but it flickers why? and is there anyway to fix this it's really annoying

what did you do, did you check oil level, did you change it recently?

But you have checked the oil level, right?

If you haven't changed your oil lately you probably should. And the filter.

actually it just started to flicker today, so i changed the oil and its still doing it. it only does it when its ideling under 1500 rpm

your oil sender is bad...replace it. Or if yo udon't care about it working properly (like me), just cut the wire off of it and hook up an aftermarket oil pressure gauge

How much oil are you putting in it? Also, have you done any kind of kerosene or ATF flush to clean out the oil passages? Maybe there's a clog around the oil sending unit?
